An earthquake measuring 6.4 magnitude has struck Papua New Guinea, the German Research Centre for Geosciences says.
The quake hit at a depth of 106km, according to GFZ.
There were no immediate reports of damage or casualties.
Earthquakes are common in PNG, which sits on top of the seismic Ring of Fire - an arc of intense tectonic activity that stretches through Southeast Asia and across the Pacific basin.
