At least 16 people have died after a municipal canteen in the southwestern Chinese mega-city of Chongqing collapsed following a gas explosion, the state-run Xinhua news agency reports.
Ten other people sustained injuries, Xinhua said on Saturday.
More than 20 people were initially reported buried by the explosion at the canteen, which served nearby municipal offices.
All the victims buried engulfed under the rubble following the blast in the city's Wulong district have been retrieved, Xinhua said.
