School bookings open for cultural experiences at Sporties Barooga’s Bullanginya Dreaming
It’s taken out top gongs in international competitions and engaged thousands of visitors.
Now, Sporties Barooga’s Bullanginya Dreaming has opened bookings for school groups to participate in daytime bush tours.
The tours, which promise an immersive educational experience, are the product of a partnership between Sporties Barooga and Aboriginal Cultural Heritage Education.
Sporties Barooga chief executive officer Bobby Brooks said the organisation is very excited to be working with Uncle Dozer and the team at ACHE to provide daytime bush tours for school groups.
“This is an immersive educational opportunity for students to gain further local knowledge and provide insight into local Aboriginal traditions and customs,” he said.
Bullanginya Dreaming’s aim is to nurture shared understanding between students and the rich culture of the Bangerang people while developing a sense of unity with the local community.
Nestled on the banks of the Bullanginya Lagoon outside Barooga, NSW, the venue combines the storytelling traditions of the Bangerang People with the elements of light, fire and water.
The attraction was recognised on the world stage earlier this year after taking out the top gong at the 2024 Blooloop Innovation Awards.
