Our vision at Benalla P-12 College is to ensure that every child learns and is prepared for the future through a commitment to excellence in teaching, high expectations and positive relationships in a safe and inclusive environment.
We do this by focusing heavily on our core values – Respect, Responsibility, Integrity and High Expectations – which drive all our interactions and everything we do here at the school.
We have a rich selection of programs designed to foster creativity, critical thinking and practical skills.
Our acclaimed Hands on Learning Program provides students with the opportunity to engage in real-world programs, where they can apply theoretical knowledge, numeracy and literacy skills to practical scenarios.
There have been many opportunities to engage with the community and the students develop invaluable skills such as teamwork, problem-solving and resilience, preparing them for the challenges of the future.
The college has a partnership with the renowned Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Program, which promotes a culture of healthy living and sustainable practices through the Kitchen Garden program that our primary students engage in.
Students not only learn the art of growing and cooking fresh produce but also develop a profound understanding of nutrition and environmental stewardship.
This hands-on approach not only nourishes their bodies but also nurtures their minds.
Embracing the benefits of our location our Outdoor Education curriculum provides many opportunities for students to connect with the natural world, honing vital skills such as leadership, resilience and environmental awareness through activities such as taking the bikes for a ride, bushwalking expeditions, taking advantage of the schools camp at Lake Nillahcootie and whitewater rafting.
Art and Technologies students are encouraged to think innovatively and express themselves authentically.
The school has purpose-built facilities in digital technology, woodwork, metal and automotive.
The school opened the new state-of-the-art STEAM building in 2023 and this year we saw a new Food Technology space that had been designed to allow further study in hospitality.
