Art works shine bright at Rochy kindergarten

Rochester’s Shine Bright Kindergarten was the focal point on Thursday, November 9, with the fantastic original artworks the children were busy creating during term four on display.

Parents committee president Annaliese Williams was thrilled with the parents who supported the new kindergarten and students.

“We started thinking that this would be a fundraiser. But now it’s all about the children and their artwork and showing off our new kindergarten,” Mrs Williams said.

“The children have been working on the artworks for term four.”

Despite the facility being less than a year old, the kindergarten has already established an excellent reputation among the community.

“The school also has a waiting list for next year with the kinder comprising 60 students,” Mrs Williams said.

“All the money raised from the fundraising will be reinvested back into the kindergarten.

“I would like to say thank you to everyone who attended and donated money to the Shine Bright school.”

“We couldn’t have asked for a better turnout, with over 200 people in attendance,” Mrs Taylor said.

“The (number of) families that came along in support of our amazing kinder was overwhelming and we will do this in coming years.
