Katerina Siniakova has saved three match points to set up a stunning comeback to beat fellow Czech Marie Bouzkova in a thrilling final of the Jiangxi Open in China.

Siniakova, more renowned as a doubles star, showed remarkable resilience to fight back from a first-set hammering to claim the title 1-6 7-6 (7-5) 7-6 (7-4) after a three hour 33 minute epic on Sunday.

After losing the first set and then falling a break down in both the second and third sets, world No.60 Siniakova simply refused to submit.

She battled back to win two tiebreaker sets and claim the fifth title of her career - and second of the season - against her 29th ranked compatriot Bouzkova.

It was the first WTA final this season to go over three hours, and the sixth-longest women's match of the year overall.
