Also two local players Andrew Lindner and John Wright came runners up in the local doubles grand final.
The next day, over 50 juniors descended on Yarrawonga for the Annual Junior Tournament.
The youngest competitor was 7 with the oldest 18. Competitors travelled from Hamilton and Point Cook, Bendigo and Geelong.
There was a very high standard of players with many close matches.
Well done to all who competed. Many thanks to everyone who donated their time to make things run so smoothly.
The annual event would not be possible without fantastic sponsors CMCU, Toyota, WB Hunters, Mulwala Water Ski Club, Yarrawonga Lions Club, Lions Lake Mulwala, Purtles Electrical, Yarrawonga Refrigeration and Air-conditioning, Godfathers, Yarrawonga Mulwala Rotary, Max’s BBQ, ClubMulwala, Yarrawonga Mulwala Golf Club Resort, Yarrawonga News and Gifts and the Yarrawonga Tourist Information Centre.
It will be great to see more locals reach this high standard next year.
Big thanks to the umpire and the referee that came up from Table Tennis Victoria to officiate.
