Ky back on track with big win

Tuesday, November 11’s round five in the Campaspe Playing Area midweek pennant has made things even less clear on the league table, with six of the eight teams now mired in a mid-table battle.

Kyabram rebounded from two straight defeats, claiming a comprehensive victory over Rich River, 16-77 to 0-44.

Joe Greco led the biggest victory for Ky, 34-11, joined by Chris Williams (lead), Graham King (second) and Jack Portia (third).

Mary Greco’s quartet also earned a decent margin, 23-15, while Bob Mason had a more hard-fought success over Rich River’s Bev Trengove, 20-18.

Kyabram is near the top of the mid-table cluster at 3-2 and with 46 competition points.

Echuca (50) is the nearest rival above, while Deniliquin (36) and Mathoura (35) lurk less than a game behind.

Ky played runaway leader Moama on November 18.

Lower divisions

In division two, Kyabram took down Deniliquin 15-58 to 1-51.

All three rinks were closely fought, but skips Phillip Denham and Geoffrey Coad got their side home with rink wins.

In division three, Echuca smashed Ky Valley View 14-59 to 0-20, and Tongala edged out Kyabram 12-35 to 2-32.

In division four, Tongala defeated Moama Green 14-44 to 0-35.

Rich River won over Kyabram 12-41 to 2-38, and Stanhope took down Echuca 12-44 to 2-35.
