Skills building is continuing at the Charlotte St courts each week, with enthusiastic Deniliquin Junior Lawn Tennis Club members enjoying the Hot Shots program.
That enthusiasm is growing each week, along with the techniques of participants.
Hot Shots is a fun, engaging program designed to introduce kids aged 3-12 to the game of tennis.
Using smaller courts, softer balls, and modified equipment, Hot Shots makes learning easy and enjoyable for beginners.
The program focuses on developing fundamental skills like coordination, balance, and teamwork while encouraging a love for the sport.
These players eventually progress through to play in Section 1 junior tennis.
It’s the perfect start for young players to enjoy a lifelong sport.
In round six of the Section 1 competition on Saturday, Riverina Watermatic defeated JC Earthworks, eight sets to four.
Three set winners were Charlie Eastman and Jasper Dellwo.
In the other match, Cottontales Agronomy defeated Deni Physio, eight sets to four.
