In this week's episode of Shepp Happens, The News' Taylah Baker chatted with Aunty Geraldine Atkinson, a proud Bangerang and Wiradjuri woman who is now an Officer of the Order of Australia following on from the King's Birthday Honours on Monday, June 9.

This honour acknowledges her distinguished service to the Indigenous community, to education, to First Nations self-determination and to reconciliation.

Taylah asked Aunty Geraldine about her life and the achievements she's had that's led to this moment. This is an edited version of that chat.
