A crash at a notorious intersection in Kyabram has sent two to hospital.

Two cars collided at Webb and McEwen Rds intersection at about 12.30pm on Friday, May 23.

Kyabram police Senior Constable David Barker said a silver Volkswagen sedan travelling north on McEwen Rd allegedly failed to give way to a black Nissan ute travelling west on Webb Rd.

An 84-year-old Rushworth woman and a Girgarre woman in her 40s were sent to Echuca Regional Health with “minor injuries”, Sen Constable Barker said.

An Ambulance Victoria spokesperson said the two women were transported “in a stable condition.”

Both cars sustained moderate damage and were towed from the scene.

Sen Constable Barker said the incident is under investigation.
