How can you be a conservation hero? Goulburn Murray Landcare has the answer.
Goulburn Murray Landcare is hosting a hands-on event at the Kyabram 1st Scouts Hall where residents can actively contribute to preserving local wildlife habitats.
On Saturday May 17, the Kyabram Urban Landcare Group, in collaboration with GML, will host a free community nest box building event, encouraging locals to get involved in protecting the region’s habitat and wildlife population.
From 10am to 12pm, participants will gain insights from local experts about the fascinating wildlife in our backyards and learn why boosting their numbers is crucial for our ecosystem.
Participants will have the opportunity to design and construct nest boxes, which will be installed in the Grey Box and Ern Miles reserves, directly contributing to the protection of local wildlife as part of an ongoing conservation project.
After the nest box building activity, participants can enjoy a complimentary barbecue, providing a great opportunity to connect with like-minded community members.
