The Betty & Don magazine is back

Ingrid Fraser, Alison Christopher, Wendy Kingma and Liliana Angeles — four of Shepparton’s seven swimmers who took on the Magnetic Island to Townsville Swim. Read all about it in Betty & Don magazine, out this Friday.

The second edition of Betty & Don is packed with stories that celebrate courage, passion and the vibrant spirit of our community.

The News sports editor Liam Nash shares the journey of Russell Wood, grand master and founder of the Koryo Taekwondo Centre, whose calm presence and dedication at 84 continue to inspire.

Journalist Callum Farquhar profiles Peter Frizzell, who defied the odds to become a marathoner after a gruelling rehabilitation.

We also celebrate bravery and determination with Shepparton swimmers tackling the Magnetic Island to Townsville Swim, the unstoppable music duo JB and Me, and a travel feature by journalist Taylah Baker following a local couple exploring the US.

Taylah also highlights Nicola Bolton’s story of rhythm, Pilates, and breaking the stretch stereotype, alongside a heartfelt piece, Sweet Solidarity for Palestine.

From The Women of the Murray to food judge Anne-Marie Primmer, to Tina Mukasa’s Congolese-Italian wedding, this jam-packed edition is full of stories, tips, hacks, fashion, wellness inspiration and so much more.
