Entry forms are available for a range of major events coming up at Deniliquin Golf Club.
These include the WRDGA Championships, Veterans Week of Golf and the Spring Classic.
The club will host the Western Riverina District Golf Association Championships on October 11 and 12.
Saturday will be men’s and ladies’ fourball best ball, and Sunday will be men’s and ladies’ stroke. Entry forms in the pro shop or on the club’s website.
Veterans Week of Golf kicks off with 4pm registration and sausage sizzle on Sunday, October 12.
The first event will be fourball best ball on the Monday, with 18 hole stableford on Tuesday and Thursday, including a 36 hole event over both days.
Friday will be stableford for NSW VGA Trophy Day.

Deniliquin Golf Club will host its annual Pro-Am as part of the PGA Legends Tour for the third consecutive year, on Monday, October 27 and Tuesday, October 28.
On the Monday, the PGA Seniors NSW Open Pre-Qualifier is a key event on the PGA Legends Tour, providing professional golfers aged 50 and over with a chance to earn a spot in the prestigious NSW Seniors Open.
In the Pro-Am on the Tuesday, three amateur players team up for a 3-person ambrose competition, while their paired PGA Professional plays a traditional stroke round.
This offers a fun and competitive day on the course for both amateurs and professionals.

This year’s Spring Classic will be played on Saturday and Sunday, November 8 and 9, in the usual fourball best ball format for men and ladies. Entry forms at the pro shop or on the club’s website.
While there are plenty of key events coming up, there has also been lots of action on the course over the past week.
Last Thursday was single stableford with two grades.
A-grade winner was Jane Armytage with 39 points from runner-up Jen Choice on 38, and in B-grade Ruth Peacock was the winner with 37 points from runner-up Prue Chalmers 35.
In Saturday’s stableford event, the A-grade winner was Jarryd Pearce with 41 points from runner-up Leigh Chappell 36, B-grade Lyn O’Brien 37 on countback to Peter Beckton, and C-grade Jane Glowrey 39 from runner-up Ken Pearce 38.
Wednesday’s A-grade stableford winner was John Penna with 39 points on countback to Norm Purtill, and B-grade Robert Karaitiana 41 from runner-up Phil Gatacre 40.
Local golfers have also been successful in regional events. On Sunday, Vince Kelly won the Hay Open tournament with a round of 78, while John Penna was B-grade handicap winner with net 73.
On Monday, a group of local golfers travelled to Hilltop Golf Club at Tatura to compete in the first round of the 2025 Goulburn Valley Veterans championships.
Graeme Willoughby won the A-grade event with net 70, while John Radeski, Ian Campbell and Des Ramsey featured in the ball comp.
Coming up this week there is a fourball best ball tomorrow and Pickers Cup, which is Canadian Foursomes, on Sunday.
Next Tuesday will be 9 holes stableford on the back nine, Wednesday is stableford, then Thursday and Saturday will be stroke, medal and Medal of Medals.
Also coming up is the popular Summer Sixes competition, which will start on October 20 and continue until the end of daylight savings, with a break for Christmas/New Year.
Get your team organised and register at the Pro Shop. If you don’t have a team, advise of your interest as an individual and a team needing an extra player can be found.
In the clubhouse, there is a new spring menu from Café 100 with some delightful new dishes and seasonal favorites. Dining is available from Wednesday to Friday, 6pm to 8pm.
It’s also time to start thinking about Christmas functions, so contact the golf club to discuss the wide range of options.
Friday Night Fun continues this evening with happy hour from 6pm and raffle tickets on sale from 6pm with draws at 7pm.
