Seymour College has been selected as one of two organisations in the Goulburn Valley to share in funding through a Victorian Government road safety initiative.
The funding will support Seymour College to deliver the Safer Drivers and Passengers Innovation program in the local community.
In the Goulburn Valley Region, Roadsafe Goulburn Valley was also selected, and is set to implement the Bike Ed Maintenance and Equipment program and the Safer Cyclists Innovation program.
“These important grants deliver life-saving messages right across our state, giving schools and community groups the chance to create local solutions to local road safety concerns,” state Member for Northern Victoria Jaclyn Symes said.
The Community Road Safety Grants program supports schools, councils and not-for-profit organisations throughout Melbourne and regional Victoria.
The initiative particularly focuses on protecting vulnerable road users, including pedestrians, cyclists, children, older people and roadside workers.
