The Kyabram RV Country Music Festival is making its return this year with the Kyabram Club once again making a significant donation.

The festival has become a popular destination for RV and caravan enthusiasts, as well as country music fans.

The event, which is being held at the Kyabram Showgrounds over five days from November 8 to 12, has been postponed for the past few years due to the COVID-19 pandemic and floods.

“We’re really glad to be back,” organiser Allan Weeks said.

“It’s been a few years, the last one was in 2019, but we’re happy to be able to do this again.”

He said the festival was an exciting way to bring more tourists through Kyabram.

“It’s terrific. It’s a lot of hard work, long hours, but it brings people to town and it really helps the businesses.

“At the last one we did a shopper docket competition and it put $65,000 into the town for the week. That’s great.”

Kybram Club director Terry Nepean said as a community club, it was always committed to helping out local events.

“We see this as being a very worthwhile event for Kyabram and it brings a lot of people here,” Mr Nepean said.

“I have been a couple of times to have a look and really enjoyed it and I can see why it does attract a lot of people.

“We don’t hesitate as a committee when we decide on sponsorship, the RV committee is right up there, very happy to support them.”

Mr Weeks said organisers really appreciated the help and it was not too late if anyone was interested in getting involved.

“It’s great to get the town behind us with it and the help from the club is great,” he said.

“This will go to the showgrounds committee to help pay the rent for the showgrounds for the week.

“We’re only a small group and we’re always looking for volunteers and any help we can get.”
