We give thanks for the recent lovely rain that has brought some welcome relief to our parched farms and gardens and, at the very least, settled the dust.

Happy birthday to Helene Mortlock, who celebrated her 51st birthday on Saturday, May 24, having missed out on a party last year for her 50th, for various reasons.
Saturday’s planned outdoor celebrations nearly became unstuck, with serious thought given to calling off the event, because of muddy conditions.
However the promise of sun and a drying breeze on Saturday raised spirits and didn’t put off the intrepid party goers, who followed instructions to avoid getting bogged in mud.
A fun time was enjoyed by the many family and friends who attended from far and wide.

St Joseph’s School Athletics Carnival will be held at Monash Park on Friday.
The school’s Launch into Learning program will also take place in Terms 3 and 4.
