The Murray River Council mobile library and customer service centre will be out of action for the next few months.

Due to staff shortages, the service has been non-operational since June 17.

The mobile library and customer service centre visits Murray Downs, Wakool and Tooleybuc every fortnight.

Council is anticipating the service will return during the week of August 12.

In the meantime, libraries in Barham, Moulamein and through the Mathoura Visitor and Business Centre are open. Echuca library, managed by Campaspe Shire Council, is also open and accessible to the public.
