Congratulations to Denise Thomas from Tocumwal who is the week one winner of our four week Shop Locally & Win promotion.

A Southern Riverina News initiative, the promotion aims to highlight and celebrate the importance of shopping locally in the lead up to Christmas.

It recognises that shopping locally is vital for sustaining regional communities.

Every dollar spent at a local business helps create jobs, support families, and keep essential services alive.

You’re also supporting the businesses that sponsor your local sporting and community clubs.

Shopping local fosters community spirit, and strengthens the local economy - and that’s good for everyone.

Local shops often offer unique products and personalised service that big chains can't match.

And usually, if there’s something you need they don’t already stock, they might be able to get it in for you.

By choosing to shop locally, residents and visitors alike invest in the future of our towns, helping them thrive and remain vibrant places to live, work, and visit.

Supporting local isn’t just a purchase - it’s a powerful act of community care.

To encourage you to shop local, we’re giving you the chance to win $50 in local shopping vouchers every week, over four weeks.

All you have to do is take a look at the range of goods and services available locally in the ad below, answer the question and fill out the form to be in the running for the vouchers.

Forms must be returned to our office by noon each Monday, after which the draw will take place.

Just by taking part in this process, Denise now has $50 to spend at local participating businesses.

And we have another three $50 vouchers to give away to our readers.

So don’t delay. Happy reading and happy shopping.
