Mother’s Day is important to people for many reasons.
At St Joseph’s Primary School’s annual Mother’s Day Picnic on Friday, May 9, students and their mums spent time in the sunshine, enjoying each other’s company before the big day.
For some, Mother’s Day is a chance to show gratitude and appreciation for their mother’s love and time.
For Tarrah Corso, Mother’s Day is special for many reasons.
“It means getting together with our family, enjoying all the special ladies in our lives,” she said.
Similarly, Mother’s Day is a time to get together with loved ones for Emily Gemmill.
“[It means] being with my girls and my family, and my own mother. We’re heading to the Tocumwal Golf Club because my sister is singing for my mother,” she said.
What’s your favourite thing about your mum?
