Local police have charged a 57-year-old man with firearm offences, after allegedly seizing a sawn-off firearm in a car on Federation Way, Urana.
Officers attached to Murray River Police District were serving a Firearms Prohibition Order (FPO) at a home in Federation Way, Urana before seizing the sawn-off firearm and ammunition in the cabin of a utility.
The man was arrested and charged with possessing unauthorised prohibited firearm and possess ammunition without holding licence/permit/authority.
He was granted conditional bail to appear in Corowa Local Court on Thursday, October 30.
