Southern Riverina communities yesterday paused in commemoration of Remembrance Day.
The important day honours those who served and died in wars, conflicts, and peacekeeping missions.
Observed on November 11 each year, it marks the end of World War I in 1918.
Local ceremonies were just wrapping up as the Southern Riverina News went to print, and and more details will be included in next week’s edition.
In the meantime, Anne Freestone provided us with a sneak peak of the Finley ceremony through this photo, which features Finley High principal Jeff Ward and students Remi Pyle, Melanie Omondi, Maggie Bramley and Bethany Loughridge at the Finley cenotaph.
