Greater Shepparton City Council hosted the inaugural Walk for Road Safety at Victoria Park Lake on Sunday, May 18.
The event brought together key community partners including Victoria Police, Amber Community and Road Safe Goulburn Valley.
Despite the crisp morning conditions, advocates participated in various activities designed to raise awareness about road safety and promote safer driving practices.
Those in attendance wearing yellow related first-hand accounts of how road trauma had affected their lives.
The event concluded with a one-kilometre walk led by the Victoria Police pipe band, symbolising community unity in reducing road related incidents.
