In the lead-up to Mother’s Day on Sunday, May 11, mums were celebrated in special events at schools across the region.
With raffles, stalls, special treats and lots of flowers, students made their mums feel the love.
St Mary’s College
On Thursday, May 8, St Mary’s College hosted a morning event to celebrate the mums of the school community.
Mums gathered with their kids at the school to listen to the choir perform Coldplay’s Something Just Like That, hear speeches of gratitude from the students and school staff and enjoy some quality time with their children.
Seymour College
On Thursday, May 8, Seymour College opened up its Mother’s Day stall.
Run by students, the stalls had a variety of presents on offer for kids to purchase precious gifts for their mums.
St Joseph’s School Nagambie
St Joseph’s School Nagambie hosted a Mother’s Day afternoon tea on Friday, May 9.
Mums were given some time to relax and socialise before their children came bounding in to show them all their love.
Cupcakes, flowers and some relaxing tunes were enjoyed at the back of the school’s campus.
