Echuca and Moama Probus group members recently enjoyed a joint adventure to Mildura for a three-day trip.
There were 24 members in total from Echuca-Moama Twin River Probus, Echuca Moama Centennial Probus, Echuca Moama Districts Probus and Campaspe-Murray Probus groups.
The group set off at 8.45am on Wednesday, September 18 from Echuca before stopping at Lake Boga for breakfast with a view and Robinvale for lunch.
Upon their arrival in Mildura, they were warmly greeted by a tour guide, who led them on a city tour before they settled into the Grand Hotel for a two-night stay.
The itinerary for Thursday was jam-packed, with a trip to the Murray River Salt site and the Australian Inland Botanic Gardens.
The group also enjoyed a leisurely two-hour cruise aboard the PS Mundoo where they got to see some of the diverse birdlife and learn about the river’s rich history.
The day also included visits to the historic Rio Vista homestead, Chateau Mildura winery and Woodsies Gems.
Friday morning was just as adventurous, with a trip to Orange World where they enjoyed a tractor train ride and morning tea.
Everyone then hopped back on the bus and took a short drive to Varapodio Estate Olive Oil Farm where they learnt about how olive oil is produced before some lunch, oil tasting and a chance to purchase souvenirs.
After three days of adventure, the group then returned to Echuca on Friday afternoon.
