Echuca will be bustling with festival-goers from Friday, May 23 to Sunday, May 25 as Ripple Fest comes to life.
Before the festival kicks off on the Friday, there will also be an exhibition featuring works created through the Pump House Artist Residency Program.
It will be open to the public from Tuesday, May 22 and will continue to run until June 4.
During the main three-day event, there will be plenty of free family-friendly activities.
For early risers, a Waking-up Creativity session with artist Maggie Ellis is on Friday morning from 7.20am at the Aquatic Reserve.
Ms Ellis will lead participants in drawing and sculpture exercises inspired by the textures, shapes and movements of the natural environment.
The session invites guests to explore creative expression in a relaxed and supportive space.
From 10am, guests can enjoy artist-led workshops hosted at the old Echuca information centre, now known as the Pump House.
Natalie Ryan will be hosting a Eucalyptus Leaves Watercolour session, open to guests ages 12 and above.
All materials are provided; however, bookings are essential as spaces are limited to 16 participants only.
Linden Lancaster will also be running a Gelatin Printing workshop using found materials such as leaves and feathers to create unique prints.
At noon, writer Christy O’Brien will get the creative writing juices flowing for budding writers using Joseph Campbell’s Hero’s Journey as a starting point.
On Sunday from 10am, the Broken Creek band will lead guests on a walking concert through the Banyule Forest blending fiddle, banjo, guitar and voice with the forest’s natural soundtrack.
Participants are encouraged to wear comfortable footwear and weather-appropriate clothing.
In the Pump House, artist Amanda Mitchell will set up her Crystal Wand workshop from 10am to 12.30pm.
The session will begin with a nature walk so participants can select their wand materials using their intuition.
Ms Mitchell will then lead the group in assembling the wand and how to take care of the tool.
Also in the Pump House, Katy Price will be creating Intuition Dolls with guests using found materials from 10am.
Using materials that resonate personally with the guests, the doll making process is designed to strengthen the creators' connection to their inner voices.
The Intuition Doll is based on the Slavic Vassalisa story, which has roots in ancient Greek myths.
To wrap up the Echuca side of RippleFest events, the ‘UNEARTHED: Music Sesh’ will kick off at the Foundry Arts Space from 3pm.
The afternoon will feature performances from by Dichotomy, Sarah Mackenzie Ross and Sulfur.
Guests can also get creative with artist Zowie Crump by collaborating on a community mural project at the music sesh.
