A key breakfast announcement was Rochester Community House’s annual Christmas tree expo launch.

Here’s a wrap-up of the reminders and updates shared at the October edition of Rochester Rotary’s ‘Community Chat’ breakfast.

Special guests for the morning were Rochester Community House and Rochester Secondary College counsellor Bern Wright and Rochester and Elmore District Health Service health promotion officer Rachael Windridge.

The pair presented on the programs they run together, including ‘Cooking for One’, the ‘Calm Collective’ and ‘Coffee, Craft and Connect’ school holiday events.

The next intake of the Calm Collective begins on Monday, November 10.

It is a six-week program promoting community support and wellness skills.

“You can help each other and support each other,” Bern said.

“Group work, works.”
