Coaches will soon replace evening trains on the Seymour line.

As a result of V/Line maintenance works, evening services will be replaced by coaches from Sunday, June 1, to Wednesday, June 4.

What to expect

Sunday, June 1

From Southern Cross Station:

  • The 9.45pm service to Seymour will be replaced by coaches for the entire journey.

From Seymour:

  • The 8.27pm service to Southern Cross will be replaced by coaches for the entire journey.

Monday, June 2, to Wednesday, June 4

From Southern Cross:

  • The 9.43pm service to Seymour will be replaced by coaches for the entire journey.

From Seymour:

  • The 9.56pm service to Southern Cross will be replaced by coaches for the entire journey.

Replacement coaches will be a mix of express and stopping at all stations services, and coaches will not be stopping at Essendon Station.

It should be noted that:

  • travellers should allow an additional 60 minutes’ travel time for their journey;
  • there is limited space for bikes on V/Line trains and coach replacement services;
  • no pets or hot food/liquid are allowed on replacement coaches;
  • customers require a valid myki or paper ticket to travel on all V/Line replacement coach services;
  • in Melbourne, coaches will arrive and depart from the Southern Cross Station coach terminal on Spencer St, opposite Little Bourke St; and
  • customers with accessibility needs should call 1800 800 007 before travelling.
