Saturday, May 17 saw the launch of the greatly anticipated pop-up train exhibition at Benalla’s CWA hall.

Visitors spent an eventful day exploring the many models that GV Rail Club had to offer.

More than 200 eager train enthusiasts of all ages flocked to the exhibition, making the day a complete success.

“It was a great day, and we got a lot of positive feedback from the Benalla community,” Vice-president of the CWA and a member of the GV Rail Club Heather Hartland said.

“The kids had a great time pushing the buttons to operate the Thomas Tank engines, the big kids had fun too.

“I had two disabled kids with their carers who were so excited they could run the trains.

“We had a carriage from Euroa Miniature Railway that kids could sit in as well.

“(There were) lots of enquiries about doing another show here in Benalla, which we will consider.

“Of course, preparations are now under way for our big show at Shepparton in October.”
