Acclaimed children’s author Adrian Beck captivated young readers in libraries and primary schools across Federation Shire last month.
The Penguin Books author specialises in children's stories writing the acclaimed AFL Little Legends Series and Kick It To Nick collection alongside Hawthorn great Shane Crawford.
Young readers from Rand, Boree Creek, Mulwala, and other local schools had the opportunity to meet Beck, who shared insights on how he develops characters and writes compelling reads.
A highlight for students was learning how to draw Furball the Spy Cat, the main character from a popular release.
Federation Council mayor, Cheryl Cook said how the author helped students foster a love for reading from a young age.
“His ability to connect with the children and bring his characters to life was truly inspiring,” Cr Cook said.
