Seymour Divisional Response Unit officers seized 567 cannabis plants from a property in Wallan on Wednesday, May 14.

Officers executed a search warrant at an address on Valley Dve about 8.30am.

Police forced entry into the house and located what is alleged to be a cannabis hydroponic set-up with 11 rooms full of plants.

The Victoria Police Botany Unit attended to assist with the seizure of the plants, which weighed a total of 155kg.

Police arrested a 58-year-old Vietnamese man at the scene.

He has been charged with cultivating a commercial quantity of cannabis and theft of electricity.

He was remanded in custody and appeared at the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, May 15.
