A search is underway after a man was allegedly shot on the footpath by someone he knew in town south west of Brisbane.
Police were called to a Warwick address at 9:30am on Tuesday following a report of a shooting made by a member of the public.
Early investigations suggest the man was standing on the footpath when he was shot by another man known to him.
The injured 37-year-old was driven to hospital by family where he is undergoing surgery for an abdominal wound.
Police are now searching for a man who fled the scene and don't believe there is cause for concern among the wider community.
