The stage came alive in a wash of light and sound at Riverlinks Eastbank on October 9, as the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra invited students on a journey through Brahms and Glinka.
Under the graceful direction of conductor Leonard Weiss and guided by presenter Amberley Bremner, the audience was drawn into the heart of the orchestra where strings whispered, brass blazed and percussion pulsed like a heartbeat.
Each section offered its own story, from the warmth of the horns to the soaring violins, as students discovered how each sound wove into the larger tapestry of a symphony.
What began as a lesson quickly became an experience.
