GET READY FOR A NIGHT OF NOSTALGIA AND ENTERTAINMENT WITH THE NEIL DIAMOND STORY AT MOAMA RSL.
The Neil Diamond Story is preparing to dazzle audiences at Moama RSL on Saturday, December 6 featuring a sumptuous two-course dinner and top-tier entertainment.
Melbourne vocalist Jason Taylor, accompanied by his 10-piece Hot August Night Showband, will bring Neil Diamond’s greatest hits to life with striking authenticity.
The performance features accomplished backing vocalists Caroline Hawke and Tracy Two Hucker Rainer, whose harmonies add richness to the show, which could also include the famous Barbra Streisand and Diamond duet, You Don’t Bring Me Flowers Anymore.
“We do represent Neil’s songs and we certainly do the ballads, but he has some monsters,” Jason said.
“Many familiar songs from that original, Hot August Night album were remade by Neil Diamond in his later years, from albums that he released from live performances, revamping the songs considerably.
“A lot of the songs in the 1970s were very relaxed versions, where we tend to do the later versions of the songs.
“They are still the same songs, but they have just got a little extra kick to them.”
“We perform classics like Sweet Caroline, Song Sung Blue, Beautiful Noise and Forever in Blue Jeans.”
The dinner service for The Neil Diamond Story begins at 6pm, with the three-hour show starting at 7.30pm.
