CLUBARHAM IS UNDERGOING A FACELIFT, AND THROUGHOUT THE UPGRADES, THE CLUB WILL REMAIN OPEN AS USUAL, OFFERING ITS WELCOMING HOSPITALITY WITH BISTRO MEALS, CAFÉ, BAR, GAMING, BOWLS AND DON’S KITCHEN.

The significant renovations, with the recently completed auditorium marking the first phase of extensive upgrades to the popular Murray River venue.

cluBarham club manager Josh Foster said the auditorium reopened in late August, just before the Rock and Roll festival.

“The auditorium now has red gum timber all around the perimeter, brand new lighting and carpet,” he said.

“We maintained the original red gum dance floor in the same size.

“We added the balustrade that goes around the dance floor, so that the high rise can be a viewing deck for the bowls, which is working out really well with the windows open.”

The renovations to the auditorium have included full-length glass doors that open onto the bowling green, creating an indoor-outdoor space.

The club is expanding its entertainment calendar, maintaining its existing festivals, while adding new events.

“We are maintaining our two rock ’n roll festivals, our Belladeers Country Music Festival, and we have added a blues festival in July next year,” Josh said.

The next phase of renovations, focusing on the front entrance, was scheduled to begin in the first week of October.

During this period, patrons will need to access the venue through the side entrance.

“The front door will be widened so that it is wide enough for us to drive a car or a boat into the main foyer to be used as prize draws for guests,” Josh said.

The reception area will undergo a complete makeover, featuring a new desk, red gum timber feature wall and improved layout to prevent bottlenecks.

Additional renovations to the main lounge are scheduled for winter 2026.

“All through the renovations, cluBarham will be operating as normal,” Josh said.

Many of cluBarham’s festivals are very popular, with the rock and roll festival in August next year already 70 per cent sold.

Upcoming events at cluBarham in 2026 are:

  • Back to Barham, rock and roll festival — March 26 to 29
  • Balladeers, country music festival — May 4 to 7
  • Barham Blues Festival — June 19 to 21
