BARHAM KOONDROOK LILO RACE
Bring along your life jacket, tubes, inflatables and lilos, leaving from the Koondrook Boat ramp at 9.30am before floating down the Murray River to the Barham Boat Ramp.
ECHUCA
Flag-raising and Australia Day Awards presentation at Hopwood Gardens from 7am to 2pm with free breakfast, citizen awards, Echuca Aero Club flyover and free activities for the whole family.
GIRGARRE
A flag-raising ceremony, presentation of Australia Day Awards, guest speaker, music and barbecue breakfast will be held at Girgarre Memorial Hall from 8.30am to 10.30am.
GUNBOWER
Community breakfast and guest speaker from 7.30am to 9.30am at Felix L’Huillier Park.
KOYUGA YABBIE RACES
A free family-fun evening for Australia Day with barbecue, yabby races and a monster raffle from 5pm at the Koyuga Hall.
KYABRAM
Australia Day breakfast and celebrations at the John Pilley Reserve, Kyabram Fauna Park on Lake Rd, from 8am to 10am.
KYVALLEY
Aussie barbecue and salad lunch at the Kyvalley Park and Pool, commencing at noon.
LOCKINGTON
Breakfast, flag-raising and a guest speaker in the Community Hall, Lions Park, Lockington Rd. Also on the day, turn up at the Lockington Channel for Lockington’s very informal fishing competition with your rod and bait on Singer Rd at 10.30am.
MURRAY RIVER COUNCIL BREAKFAST
The Murray River Council Australia Day Breakfasts will be held in Barham, Moulamein, Mathoura, Wakool, Tooleybuc and Koraleigh.
ROCHESTER
Community breakfast from 8.15am at Lions Park, Corner of Echuca Rd and Elizabeth St, with flag-raising ceremony, presentation of Australia Day Awards and a guest speaker.
RUSHWORTH
A welcome for new residents to Rushworth, from 10am with live entertainment, sausage sizzle and presentation of Australia Day Awards in the Village Green on High St.
STANHOPE
Flag-raising, guest speaker, music and sausage sizzle from 9.30am at McEwen Place, Monash St.
TONGALA
Community pool party with music, games and refreshments from 11am to 4pm at the Tongala Swimming Pool, 621 Henderson Rd.
TOOLLEEN
Buffet lunch, opening of time capsule, guest speaker and music by Rhonda Rhistrom at the Toolleen community centre from 11.30am.
WYUNA
Community barbecue and flag-raising ceremony at the Wyuna Memorial Hall at 20 Alfred Ave, from 6.30pm.
