Mind games and madness as The Physicists hits Shepparton

Shepparton Theatre Arts Group is warning audience members that its upcoming play isn’t your ‘run of the mill’ evening at the theatre.

Ticket sales have opened for the production of The Physicists but STAG is warning the play is insane — or is that just what the sane want you to think?

Three brilliant minds teeter on the edge of sanity, but tread carefully, for the conclusions they reach and the thoughts they think may just mess with your mind.

The play’s director is Shepparton’s own Bella Walker and she couldn’t be more excited about the first curtain bow.

“I absolutely cannot wait for audiences to see these characters; from the rambunctious caricature-like physicists, to an inspector desperately craving a contemplative cigar, to a doctor who has a beloved chair, and nurses with unexpected sporting inclinations,” she said.

“This show is new to audiences in Shepparton and this revised script is now rarely performed.

“The play prompts audiences to question and consider the complexities of human nature, morality, scientific and technological advancements.”

Tickets are on sale for performances in late May and early June at the Black Box Theatre, Shepparton.
