Travis Head has plundered another Ashes century to continue an astonishing stretch of success in his home city of Adelaide.
South Australian Head's ton against England on day three of the third Test is his fourth century in his past four Tests at Adelaide Oval.
The left-hander entered rare air with the feat, becoming the fourth Australian to notch centuries in four successive Tests at the same venue.
The peerless Sir Donald Bradman achieved the feat twice, at the MCG and Leeds in England; Michael Clarke scored four in a row in Adelaide; and Steve Smith has done likewise at the MCG.
Head received a raucous ovation from an adoring Adelaide crowd on posting his 11th Test ton, and his second in this Ashes series.
Promoted to open the batting in the second innings of the series-opener in Perth, Head scored an audacious, match-winning 123.
After making 33 and 23 in the second Test in Brisbane, Head fell for 10 in the first dig in Adelaide.
But he made amends in the second innings on home turf, reaching his century from 146 balls, striking eight fours and two sixes.
On saluting his century - which came after being dropped on 99 when Harry Brook turfed a hot, low chance at gully from Jofra Archer's bowling - Head bowed down and kissed the Adelaide pitch.
His career average in Adelaide has climbed above 82 from his eight Test matches.
