Greater Shepparton City Council is calling on local schools, community groups, organisations and event organisers to submit youth-focused events for inclusion in the 2025 Youth Fest program.

Running throughout September, Youth Fest celebrates young people aged 12 to 25 through a wide range of events and activities.

Council is looking for inclusive events that showcase the creativity and diversity of young people — from workshops and performances to forums, recreational activities and cultural celebrations.

Successful submissions will be featured in the official program and promoted widely via council’s channels, local schools, youth services and community hubs.

“Youth Fest is a chance to celebrate young people and give them more opportunities to connect, express themselves and feel part of the community,” City of Greater Shepparton Mayor Shane Sali said.

“We encourage local organisations to take part by submitting an application to have their event included in the program.”

Council director community Louise Mitchell said the event was an opportunity to boost community cohesiveness.

“Whether you are a school, service provider or local club, Youth Fest is a chance to connect with young people in a meaningful way,” she said.

“Even a small event can have a big impact.

“If you are planning something in September, this is your opportunity to help young people feel seen, supported and part of their community.”

Applications must be submitted via council’s website before midnight on Monday, July 7.
