Priscilla Presley thinks Elvis Presley would still be touring if he was alive today.

The King of Rock and Roll - who died on August 16, 1977, at the age of 42 – would have turned 91 this month and his former wife Priscilla believes he would still be working if he was alive now.

She told HELLO! Magazine: "I think he'd be doing the same thing in life – singing and touring. He loved it."

Presley has written a new memoir about her and Elvis and admitted it was tough to relive their "difficult times".

She said: "It took me a while to finish it up - more than 11 months. You remember a lot of things, and it was a good thing, to be honest. A lot of remembering wonderful times and difficult times - and you're reliving your life."

However, Presley - who was married to Elvis for six years from 1967 to 1973 - has fond memories of Elvis and remained close to him after their divorce.

She said: "We always remained friendly and would still get together. Of course, we had our daughter (the late Lisa Marie Presley), and I would bring her to see her dad perform and made sure they spent a lot of time together. She'd spent extensive time with him at Graceland.

"We still cared for each other, he (was) fun to be with."
