In the under-17s, the final Kyabram side in the Goulburn Valley Netball League was no match for an impressive Shepparton Swans side, its season ending 32-71 in an elimination final at Victoria Park in Echuca.
Facing up to the 15-2-1 third-placed Swans was never going to be easy for the 8-10 Bombers and Shepparton was quick to seize control of the game.
The Swans were rapidly out to a 10-2 lead, with the Bombers struggling to string together consecutive attacks.
By half-time things looked dire for Ky as Shepparton held a 37-16 advantage and a new half didn’t bring a change of fortunes for the Bombers, the Swans winning all four quarters in a comprehensive victory.
