After five rounds of Shepparton District Tennis Association pennant the league is starting to take shape.

Shepparton North and McEwen Reserve posted convincing victories to move clear of the two losing sides, with Karramomus still seeking a maiden success.

Tim Comer again went perfect through his three rubbers as his McEwen side accounted for Central Park 6-36 to 3-28, moving to 3-1 in the process.

Shepparton North did its job easily to remain a game clear on top, dropping the first and final sets, but storming through everything in between to thrash Karramomus 7-51 to 2-23.

Elsewhere, McEwen Reserve Green stayed perfect in A1/A2 competition with a win over McEwen Red, with Kialla Park Old Students, Lemnos and Murchison Gold also victorious.

The A3 table has tightened up as well after Central Park suffered its first defeat to Karramomus, while St Andrew’s kept Shepparton North winless.
