In a scintillating display of teamwork and skill, the Deni Rovers A-grade netball team triumphed over the Yarroweyah Grasshoppers on a sweltering day at Yarroweyah.
Despite the heat, the Roos showcased unwavering determination and cohesion throughout the match.
Rotations within the team failed to impede the Roos’ relentless surge forward.
The Grasshoppers, despite the ferocious efforts, found themselves unable to break through the whole court pressure applied by the Roos.
From the onset, the Rovers seized control of the game, leading with authority at the first break with a scoreline of 25 to 1.
Chloe Way and Abbey Wills dominated the shooting circle, demonstrating accuracy and composure under pressure.
In the midcourt, Gabby Barlow, Britt Kirby and Hazel Glowrey formed an indomitable trio, dictating the game’s flow with their seamless coordination.
The combination of Glowrey’s youthful energy with the experience of Barlow and Kirby was a delight to behold.
The defensive partnership of Nat Sampson and Ella Park stood firm against Yarroweyah’s relentless attacks, thwarting numerous attempts to breach their defence.
Despite the Grasshoppers’ varied strategies, the Roos’ defence remained unyielding.
The introduction of Sophie Dudley and Monty Jones gave the team a spark of vitality into the team, providing additional opportunities for the shooters to convert.
As the final whistle blew, the Deni Rovers emerged triumphant with a commanding scoreline of 87-9.

On a scorching day at Yarroweyah, the B-grade netball team showcased sheer dominance against the Grasshoppers.
From the start, it was evident that the Roos were determined to leave their mark on the court.
Led by the formidable duo of Belle Mcilwain and Georgia Van Lieshout in the ring, the Roos asserted their dominance early on.
Their relentless attack and solid defence saw them establish a commanding 32 to 0 lead by the first break.
The introduction of young talent Paige Brown injected further precision and cohesion into the team.
Montana Muldoon-Leetham and Monty Jones held the fort in the midcourt, connecting the defenders with the attacking line.
The defenders exhibited unwavering determination throughout the game, limiting the Grasshoppers to four goals for the entire match.
In an extraordinary display of skill and prowess, the Rovers achieved a milestone rarely seen in netball, cracking a century on the scoreboard.
As the final whistle blew, the Deni Rovers clinched a resounding victory with a staggering 107 to 4 scoreline.

C-grade had a good win in warm and sunny conditions.
Despite the difference in the scoreline, a determined Yarroweyah lineup was a lot of fun and showed great sportsmanship.
For Rovers, it was a consistent, full-team effort.

The Deni Rovers girls effectively capitalised on opportunities against the Hoppers, enhancing their team’s connection throughout the court and highlighting their adaptability to various positions.
Amy Holloway, Aria Taylor and Chloe Macknight displayed relentless defensive effort, limiting their opponents to only 24 goals.
Eve Meharry provided excellent play-making skills in wing attack, generating great drive and skillfully feeding the shooters.
The effortless half-time swap between Braelie Wesierski and Hazel Glowrey saw Glowrey and Paige Brown form a powerful offensive duo in goals, with Wesierski providing valuable assistance.

This week, the team gave another strong performance and dominated from early on.
The coach decided to mix up the starting line-up to test the girls’ ability to adjust their game.
Rolling subs were utilised fully, and all the girls played in whatever position they were given with enthusiasm.
The versatility of the team was evident when a few surprise moves were made, particularly in the shooting positions.
As the game progressed, everyone got to appreciate positions they normally wouldn’t play in.
All the girls were standouts. Well done.

Despite another hot round of netball, Deni Rovers showcased unwavering resilience, adaptability and teamwork throughout the game.
Embracing new positions due to strategy changes, the girls seamlessly gelled together, displaying exceptional communication and coordination.
Their relentless energy and cohesiveness in the heat highlighted their dedication and camaraderie, making them a formidable force on the court.

In the under-11s game, Madi Danckert, Isabelle Goodear and Indi Conallin shot beautifully, with many turnovers in the defence end by Georgia Tweed, Khoa Unwin and Darci Thomson.
The midcourt of Lexi Maher, Sophie Bulmer and Myla Parker worked tirelessly, applying pressure and creating play at every chance.
A massive thank you to the wonderful Yarroweyah girls, who were all amazingly good sports and were happy to provide us with two fun games of netball.

The littlest Roos, led by captain Oaklee Morrison, showed off their skills after working hard at training.
