Rochester has started its Goulburn Valley League netball campaign in fine form, dispatching Benalla in round one on Saturday.

The Tigers won all four quarters in a dominant team performance against the Saints, finishing ahead by 28 goals.

Rochester established supremacy early, building steadily to a six-goal lead at quarter-time, 17-11.

The lead continued to build through the second with the score 36-25 at the half.

Benalla had no answers as the Tigers increased their advantage through the third, capping off the performance with a 19-8 final quarter.

New signing Tia Webb, playing her first game for the club after joining from Maiden Gully, scored 46 goals and partnered well in the goal circle with Bendigo Strikers representative Teal Hocking.

Rochester hosts Kyabram this Saturday under lights, with the A-grade netball scheduled to begin at 6.45pm.
