It was a tough day at the office as we came up against a strong and well-drilled Numurkah side. They played a consistent and structured team game from start to finish.
We managed to stay in touch throughout the first half, but unfortunately weren’t able to apply enough pressure in the second to remain in the contest.
There were definitely positives to take from the match.
A special mention to Ava Marshall, who made her A-grade debut. A great milestone.
It was also fantastic to give more senior experience to a few of our other junior players too.
Ella Park was a clear standout on court and was well supported by Emma Parks.
Amelia Seignior also put in a consistent performance across the four quarters.

B-grade: Numurkah 48 def Rams 37.
Despite the score line at the final whistle, the Rams had a good battle against Numurkah on Saturday.
The girls fought hard for four quarters, and never really looked to be defeated until the dying minutes.
Mia Parks played a consistently strong game through the mid-court, supported well by Georgia Henderson and Shontai O’Callaghan.
Lucy Pitt and Katie Arandt kept the pressure on in defence, making the most of rebounding opportunities.
Bella White and Zoe Circuitt also stepped up on Saturday, proving very handy in the goal circle.

C-grade: Numurkah 54 def Rams 24.
Another tough loss for the Rams.
A big thank you to Remy Henderson who played a full game in C-reserve prior, and then filled in for the team and played exceptional in both defence and in the centre.
Hilary Porter took home a well-deserved award once again this week, proving to be a valuable and hardworking mid-court player in both WA/defence.
Maggie McCalman took home an award as-well with her impressive skills in defence, turning over the play with many rebounds.
A special shout out to the team’s gun goaler, Bella White, who made her debut in B-grade before this match.

C-reserve: Rams 46 def Numurkah 25.
C-res continued their upward momentum over the weekend, with a confident 46 to 25 win against Numurkah.
The team is clearly growing in confidence each week, and their improvement is starting to shine through on the scoreboard.
Their teamwork, communication, and trust in one another is showing as they play as a team.
Sami Davies had another excellent game, playing at both ends of the court. Whether as goalkeeper or goal shooter, she brought a calm and steady presence that helped settle the team.
Her ability to switch roles mid-game with ease was a big asset and speaks to her adaptability and game sense.
Keely Hussey was a standout in the defensive ring, once again proving to be a dominant presence.
She not only created turnovers and disrupted the opposition’s play, but was also instrumental in bringing the ball out of defence and providing backup support in the ring.
Carla Crossley also put in a strong performance in defence, playing a key role in shutting down her opponent.
Her ability to pick up rebounds and create turnovers made a big impact, keeping Numurkah's attack under constant pressure.

Under-17s: Rams 62 def Numurkah 30.
In a great team effort, the girls came away with a 32 goal win, led by a dominant game in goals by Phoebe Newman, who combined beautifully with both Zoe Circuitt and Shontai O’Callaghan.
Alice Circuitt, Ava Marshall and Georgia Henderson were solid in defence, making the most of turnover opportunities.

Under-15s: Rams 39 def Numurkah 18.
It was a strong performance from the whole team, highlighted by outstanding defensive work and composed play in attack.
Emma Wettenhall and Josie Offord were exceptional in defence, sticking tight to their players and making it difficult for the opposition to move the ball freely.
Their pressure and positioning were key in turning over possession at crucial moments.
In attack, Sarah Circuitt stood out with her sharp drives to the ball and smart positioning in the circle.
She timed her movements well and showed great composure, finishing with some beautiful shots on goal.

Under-13s: Rams 34 def Numurkah 12.
The girls' energy was high as they headed into the match, with the girls feeling confident in the game plan.
This emphasised the importance of full court defence and the role of attackers in defensive plays.
Killarni Macdonald showcased her skills in full court defence, regaining possession multiple times for her side in GA and demonstrating accuracy in her goal scoring, earning her an award.
Chloe Marshall exhibited her tenacity and speed in attacking the ball, achieving multiple two-handed possession defence wins.
Aleaha Leetham received the captain's award for her ability to be an option and for her hands over defence down the court.
Overall, it was a hard day for the coaches to pick the awards as everyone had a brilliant game.

It was a great tussle this week, with both teams bringing strong, confident play to the court.
There were some fantastic match-ups across all positions, and the girls really pushed the Rams with determination and grit.
Stella Butcher delivered four consistent quarters, applying excellent defensive pressure throughout the game.
Maggie Burge slotted into the team seamlessly in her rotation week, showing great teamwork and adaptability.
Indi Hillier continues to grow in confidence and skill each week.
Once again, every girl on court was impressive - a real credit to the team's depth and spirit.
