The Goulburn Valley League’s premier weekend is almost upon us.
Fans from across the region are set to flock to Deakin Reserve in Shepparton on Sunday, hoping to see their team claim an elusive premiership.
Three football and five netball champions will be crowned on a blockbuster day of action, highlighted by two strong flag hopes for Kyabram.
Both the seniors and reserves topped their respective ladders and made their way through to the grand final without incident.
The seniors are looking to return to the promised land for the first time since they won three from four between 2016 and 2019, while the reserves last won the flag in 2018.
The action on the footy field begins with the thirds from 9.30am before Kyabram’s reserves take to the park against Seymour from 11.55am.
The top-flight contest between the Bombers and Rochester starts at 2.40pm.
On the netball courts, games begin from 8.30am with the 15-and-under, rolling into 17-and-under at 10am, B-reserve at 11.30am, B-grade at 1pm, and the A-grade stoush between Shepparton Bears and Euroa from 2.40pm.
