Round 3 of B-grade competition saw Berrigan host Tungamah.

Winning the toss, Tungamah elected to bat in the overcast conditions.

Matt Ross (1/9) and Matt Whelan (0/5) started the Saints strongly with a very tight opening bowling partnership.

This pressure, made way for Jeremy Packer (4/13) and Troy Poynton (5/6) to run through the Tungamah lineup with some very good swing bowling in the favourable bowling conditions.

Troy's fifer included a hattrick with Josh Monteath taking a magnificent catch in the deep off a high ball at deep fine leg.

For Tungamah Tom Irvine manage to get himself 25 runs in their total of 61 in the 25th over.

In reply the Saints openers Jordan Swann and particularly Matt Ross who took to the Tungamah lineup, hitting a quick fire 43 from 19 balls including 3 sixes.

A change in bowling had instant success with Ross bowled by Tyler Begnone (1/10) with the score on 51.

Lachlan Packer joined Swann in the middle and the two guided the Saints past the Tungamah score in the 8th over with Swann not out on 13 and Packer not out on 5.

This week the Saints travel to Finley for a night match, tomorrow.
