Having posted a mammoth total of 8-273 declared, which came off the back of four batters posting half-centuries, Lions skipper Regis Chakabva took the opportunity to end his side’s innings early and bowl 15 overs at the visitors before stumps, meaning Cooma resumed day two at 2-29.

It wasn’t long before BLU made it 3-34, with Liam Scopelliti having his stumps disturbed by Jeremy Felmingham (2-27), bringing Cooper Fawcett to the crease in the Goulburn Murray Cricket contest.
