The future of the dairy stud breeding industry was on show in the cattle section of the Shepparton Show on Friday, October 10, when children as young as five paraded their cattle.
Under the scrutiny of Gippsland cattle judge, Karl Munden, the young people moved confidently around the ring with their charges they had prepared themselves.
Champion handler was Tammy Stone, 22 of Katunga, who took out her own heifer, Hawthorn Glen Gloria Tequila.
Mr Munden remarked on how Tammy was calm and collected.
“She did a good job handling the heifer who occasionally played up. She was calm and always in control.”
