Carl McGrath, the club manager of the Shepparton Greyhound Racing Club, has been crowned the 2025 winner of the Shepparton News AFL football tipping competition.

Mr McGrath led the ladder for most of the season, holding off a late charge from runner-up Daryl Emmett of GV Carports and Patios.

“I actually put my final tips in four weeks ago because I’ve been away on holidays … I had absolutely no strategy,” Mr McGrath said with a laugh.

“I had 10 less points in my work tipping comp, so to win something is nice.

“The footy tipping banter between us businesses has been great fun.”

Thirty-two businesses competed in this year’s competition.
